Dear Prudence   14 April 2015

Dear Prudence,

I know you feel like you have had the wind knocked out of you.  Now why you feel this way is puzzling to me but you look like a whipped dog.  Are you letting the negativity of the people around you get the best of you?

I keep telling you that haters are going to hate and you have to be the bigger person in every situation that you are in.  Most people are upset with you because you are doing your job.  No one likes it when you have to correct them and make them do things the right way.  All you can do is the right thing.  If you lower your standards even the slightest then you will be taking away from your true self.

Right now, it may not seem like you are in a good position but you are.  When you get up in the morning and look yourself in the mirror just know that your integrity is in check and you’re a rock star.

When in doubt, remember what your favorite Captain would always say to you.  “Is it better to be liked or respected?”  You already know the answer to the question.

Plus, at the end of the day, if these bitches keep giving you are hard time don’t worry.  I got you!  Now you may not like the end result of me having your back but just know that I am here.  You and I both know that no one wants to see me because if you see me then there are real problems.  I’m glad that you’ve matured enough to handle issues on your own and not have to rely on me.

Anyway, I just wanted to give you a big shout out to let you know that you are doing awesome things despite what the people around you are trying to do.  They can’t or won’t pull you down unless you let them.  Have a great one.  Love Always,
